High Street Church Leadership Team

High Street church is served by a very enthusiastic team of Elders lead by Paul Hedger.  They have varying backgrounds and gifts and all desire to serve the Lord and see His purposes worked out now and for future generations.

Paul Hedger

Paul has served as Church Leader at High Street since 1996. This role releases his gifting in both the prophetic and the visionary. He brings strong leadership to the church and is passionate in his desire to see this body of people grounded in the Word of God, expressing themselves in active worship and seeking to spread the good news of the gospel.  He loves the great outdoors, enjoys working with wood and is very gifted as a cabinet maker.

His wife Marilyn, to whom he has been married for over 30 years, plays a key role in enabling Paul to fulfil leadership ministry.  They have three children, two daughters and a son.

Paul is at present overseeing the work of the 'Ark Project', our new church build www.arkproject.org.uk

Michael Hawes

Michael's main responsibility is to bring to the Eldership the prophetic spiritual input that God imparts through him.  His astute mind and grasp of the scriptures is invaluable.  He and his wife Helen run their own firm of accountants and so brings financial and legal insight into the church operations and the Ark project.

Her ‘care’ is both practical and spiritual enabling each individual to feel truly valued and loved.  She brings to the fellowship her expertise as a recently retired social worker as well as her God given people skills. She is married to Martin and has been at High Street for over forty years.

Paul polski

Paul Claringbold

In March 2014, having served as an Elder for 10 years, Paul stood down from his position, and from employment within High Street Church, as God directed him to increase his apostolic ministry in  Poland. Paul has had a long history of involvement with the Bible College in Warsaw and churches in Gsansk, Kwidzyn and Bydgoszcz. We are excited by Paul's ministry as God continues to use his and broaden and deepen his work. Paul and Anne are gifted teacher of God's Word, whose experience in church leadeship, wisdom and pastral care are valued equally highly when preaching, teaching and training leaders in Poland, or when at home as an active and much loved member of our church.
